A 10-year-old was injured when a teenage girl tried to rape him, however, unusual it may sound but it is true. The incident happened in Kanpur village, Bidhnu area where the minor girl forced him to have sex with her which eventually landed the boy in the hospital.
The 16-year-old girl cajoled him and persuaded him to come to her home; at the time of the incident, none of the family members were present. The boy was too young to understand girl’s kinky motives.
In the attempt, the boy was badly injured and started bleeding profusely. He was rushed to the hospital when he tried to run away from the girl’s place. The boy sustained serious injuries in his private parts in the attempt and started to bleed.
While the boy is undergoing treatment at the Hallet hospital in Kanpur, police said they are taking time to come to terms with the incident and decide under which sections of the IPC lodge a case as Indian penal code doesn’t categorize male as victims even there are many cases of man being assaulted by the female gender in extreme cases.
Both the victim and the attacker are minors, in this case, and as a result ÷lodging complaint has become difficult, SSP Kanpur Shalabh Mathur told the media.
Legal experts who are examining the case said that a complaint can be lodged against the minor girl under the section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. But our legal system comes with many loopholes because being a girl-victim there are many laws to protect them but vice-versa for the male victim doesn’t exist. Family members of the boy are to traumatized and shocked to comment on the matter and has refrained themselves to take legal action against the girl as per now.
