An 18-year-old Mexican teenager was arrested for drunk driving has become infamous on social media after allegedly trying to bribe officers by flashing 100 peso note to them.
A news channel in Mexico shows the footage of her trying to get away with the police as she was stopped after crashing into a parking area. Since the video has been a sensation on social media, Lorena Daniela Aguirre has been labelled by online users as “Lady 100 Pesos” as she waved the 100 Peso note (£4) at a police officer who walked up to her car in Guanajuato.
According to the site fusion.net., It’s believed the incident occurred in the state of Guanajuato,after her car crashed several parked cars. The collision caused a considerable amount of damage to two parked cars which fortunately had no one inside. And reportedly she had consumed high level of alcohol which even made her difficult to walk over moreover she flashed a 100 peso note to charm the officers to get away with it.
The video released by a news channel of mexico has made her a viral star on social media. A sole Facebook page dedicated to Aguirre has more than 200,000 likes and she is trending on Twitter with the hashtag #Lady100pesos.
And the video uploaded on You tube of the incident has now more than 2.3 million views in mere 10 days.
The incident is quite serious as teenagers now days feel that committing such crime is no big deal and they can get away with it just by shelling out money. But also questions the fact that how social media can be a cruel judge for some.
Even a mobile app has been developed in her honour, called Lady 100 Pesos, in which the aim of the game is to avoid arrest by throwing notes at oncoming police officers.
