Woman who befriended the parents of an infant during a short trip to Amristar abducted their three-month old baby. Just after the abduction, the couple who belongs to Ferozepur took the help of social messaging app, WhatsApp to trace their kidnapped three-month-old boy and were successful in doing so.
Komal Kumar and Sapna, the parents and residents of Seethan Waala Mamdot village in Ferozepur, said on Tuesday they visited Golden Temple, where they met a woman, Jyoti. “Soon, we started talking with her. As she came across as pleasant and kind, we left our boy with her before going for langar. On returning, we found both missing,” Komal said in his police complaint.
The couple looked around everywhere for her and the baby but couldn’t locate her for one hour and then they decided to call the police and inform the authorities at the Gurudwara committee who came to their rescue. Police came in action and the CCTV cameras installed at the Golden Temple were captured the video of the woman taking the baby outside the Gurudwara. Police and parents captured the image and circulated the image all over along with WhatsApp. After a serious look-out the baby was found as one of the travellers in ludiana noticed the woman as he received the image of the woman along with the baby on his Whatsapp and informed the police thereafter.
“On Wednesday morning, when the woman, along with the baby, reached Ludhiana by train, a passerby, Mohinder Singh, recognised them. Mohinder said received the WhatsApp message and alerted the police,” a cop said. SHO of division number 1 Sumit Sood said the woman was arrested at gate number two of Ludhiana railway station and the baby handed over to his parents.
Other details of the woman has not been received as yet.
